About the Pharmacist-in-Charge : Spenser Rohr
Spenser is one of our long-term care pharmacists who has been with us since 2015. He initially joined our team as an intern at our Washington Pike store before transitioning to long-term care after graduating from pharmacy school in 2018. Spenser believes that we play a vital part of the healthcare team and that we are in a unique setting that can have a profound impact on our patients. He believes that by building relationships with providers in the community, pharmacists can play a much greater role in a patient’s plan of care. His relationships allow him to be able to make more impactful drug therapy interventions and positively impact our patients’ lives.
Since working on the long-term care team, Spenser has found one of his greatest passions in teaching pharmacy students from our two local colleges. He enjoys having discussions with his students, staying up to date on newly published articles, and teaching them about the often-overlooked area of long-term care pharmacy.
In his free time, Spenser enjoys cooking dinner with his wife Sherri, getting outdoors, reading and writing.
Spenser holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from East Tennessee State University and a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee.
