Employee Spotlight: Tiffany Neeley

Certified Pharmacy Technician | Mac’s Pharmacy – Oak Ridge

If you’ve ever walked into Mac’s Pharmacy in Oak Ridge and been greeted by a warm smile, a kind word, or someone who remembers your prescription, your story, and maybe even your favorite candy—then you’ve probably met Tiffany Neeley.  Tiffany has been part of the Mac’s family from the very beginning, bringing heart, hustle, and a whole lot of care to everything she does.

She was born in upstate New York, raised in East Tennessee, and now calls Maryville home—where she lives with her husband Daniel and their two kids: Tyler (22) and Kait (18). With Oak Ridge as her professional home base, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on this compassionate, creative, and community-minded woman who makes every patient feel seen and supported.

How did you get interested in pharmacy?

I actually started in the photo lab at Seymour Pharmacy. When the lab closed, I moved to the gift shop—but I was always curious about the pharmacy side. Eventually, I decided to jump in and start training. I got certified as a pharmacy technician and worked with Bruce Adkisson. It ended up being one of the best decisions I ever made.

When Bruce said he was going to be opening Mac’s Oak Ridge, I didn’t hesitate—I wanted to be part of it. Even before Oak Ridge opened, I helped out at the Lowe’s and Edgemoor Road Mac’s locations. It’s been a journey, and I’ve loved every step.

What do you love most about your role?

I love helping people. Whether it’s compounding a custom medication, helping a patient save money through rebates, or going to bat with insurance companies—I want to make sure they’re getting what they need.

I also work with organizations that need specialized medications, and that gives me a sense of purpose. I try to be ten steps ahead so patients don’t have to worry. I just really care about making their experience easier and better.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love going to Townsend, Tennessee—especially to “the Sink.” I don’t jump in myself, but I love watching my kids have fun in the water. I also adore Metcalf Bottoms—it’s a beautiful picnic spot and one of my favorite peaceful getaways.

I’m really into arts and crafts. Painting, floral arrangements, DIY projects—I love being creative. I’m a big reader, too. One of my favorite book series is A Court of Thorns and Roses. It’s fantasy, it’s dramatic, it’s romantic—it checks every box.

What’s one moment at Mac’s Pharmacy that you’ll never forget?

When we first opened, I loved our food truck days and the holiday fun—like when Santa Mickey and Dracula Mickey come by for photos with the kids. But the moment that means the most to me came last April when I got sick.

I decided to share what I was going through, and the outpouring of love from the community was beyond anything I could’ve imagined. People prayed for me, brought cards, gave hugs, even donated money. I’ve always connected with patients and listened to their stories—but this time, they were there for mine. I felt genuinely loved, and it reminded me that we’re not just serving the community—we’re part of it.

What’s one product from Mac’s you always recommend?

Elderberry Gummies. They taste great, they help boost your immune system, and I recommend them to everyone—especially during cold and flu season. Honestly, they’re a staple in my house.
